BSc (Physiotherapy) – Curtin University, STOTT Pilates® Clinical Instructor, APAM
Hi, I’m Alexia.
Alexia Catenacci
Co-Director / Principal Physiotherapist / STOTT Pilates® Clinical Instructor
Director and Co-Founder of Niche Physio and Pilates, Alexia wanted to combine her passion for healing with her entrepreneurial spirit to create a space where you can receive exceptional care and support on your journey to wellness.
She is a dedicated physiotherapist and enjoys rehabilitating her clients to bring out their absolute best, helping them achieve their goals! She enjoys diagnosing problem areas and takes great pride in seeing results. Her focus is on fixing problems in a timely fashion and not over-treating without resolution. She uses a wide range of treatment skills in her practice such as dry needling, mobilisation, and manipulation to enhance the recovery of her patients.
Alexia is also trained in a rehabilitation program from Canada specifically for licensed health care professionals through STOTT Pilates® – both mat and reformer. As a Clinical Pilates Instructor, she uses her exercise knowledge to leverage her ability in rehabilitating her clients more effectively. Alexia enjoys up-skilling her knowledge to broaden her perspective and enrich her practice, bringing fresh insights and techniques to her work. She will ensure she provides a solid service to her patients from start to finish on their road to recovery.
Her main interests are in post-operative rehabilitation, neuromuscular gait retraining, hypermobility disorders and all things sports, particularly in the field of soccer. She strongly believes in addressing the whole biopsychosocial model and will work closely with a range of colleagues to ensure her patients get ‘back on track’ – pun unintended.
Outside of work, Alexia loves to explore Perth’s food and coffee scene, practising yoga and spending quality time with her family and friends. She’s a keen traveller and loves to explore new corners of the world or getting creative, trying new things, and being pushed outside of her comfort zone!
